Closure of SwapxchangeFollowing research into the popularity of online swapping communities in Islington, Islington Council has taken this decision to shut down the Swapxchange website from the 1 July 2009. Instead, we will be encouraging residents to use Freecycle - a free, online, not-for-profit community, which is already massively popular in Islington. There are over 11,000 active members in the borough - and over 6.5 million worldwide.
